Chiropractor
Dr. Kyle Johnston D.C.
Dr. Kyle Johnston is originally from Ohio. He attended Baldwin Wallace University, and upon graduation he moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr Kyle suffered from chronic ear infections when he was a child. Dr. Kyle's parents took him to the chiropractor to see if that would help.
After a series of adjustments, Dr. Kyle no longer had ear infections. While he was in school, he found his passion for Gonstead Chiropractic. Dr. Kyle was a intern for Dr. Burns who is a Fellow in the Gonstead Clinical Study Society. Dr. Kyle was also fortunate to have the opportunity to learn under Gonstead Seminar extremity instructor Dr. Mark Werking. Dr. Kyle was able to expand his knowledge and experience especially in the evaluation and care for extremity conditions and injuries. Dr. Kyle wants to help people live healthier and pain free life through Gonstead chiropractic. He is a advocate for wellness care for people that realize that true health is more than the absence of symptoms. He is excited to serve the Columbia community and get involved. When he isn't in the office, you can find Dr. Kyle spending time golfing, fishing, coaching wrestling, playing pickleball, attending Brazilian jiu-jitsu practice or taking his dog on a walk.
Chiropractor
Dr. Alexandra Maas D.C.
Dr. Alexandra Maas always knew she wanted to help people in her career path, and once she found chiropractic, there was no other option. She suffered from frequent migraines and tension headaches at the age of 12.
After going through a guessing game with medications and scans, she was diagnosed with “chronic migraines” with no real help. She decided to give chiropractic a try, and it gave her her life back. She could go to school, hangout with friends, and be a normal teenager again. She was born and raised in the great state of Iowa. She attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa where she received her Bachelors of the Arts with an emphasis in Biology. Upon graduation, she moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. During her time at Palmer, her passion for chiropractic grew deep, and she was very actively involved as a tutor, a member of the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation, the Palmer pediatric club, and as a clinical radiology student intern. Also during her time at Palmer, her first niece was born, and she found another passion: prenatal, pediatric, and postnatal chiropractic. Chiropractic adjustments allow the body to heal itself and function optionally, and this should start at birth. Helping mothers have a low stress pregnancy and birth, helping infants with colic, children with bedwetting or even basic function is what Dr. Alex is truly passionate about; she wants all families to be healthy from infancy to grandparents. The way she helps families is through specific chiropractic care. While at Palmer, she found the Gonstead Method. She spent hours studying at seminars, workshops and reading to learn as much as possible. She wants the body to be working optimally, and she allows this to happen by removing nerve interference through Gonstead specific chiropractic care.
